Chapter 98
A Day of Reconciliation
Monthly Update
Part 1
It had been a little over two months since Valentine’s Day and winter was finally over. The snows had all gone weeks ago and now spring was in full swing. The rains had been coming quite a bit lately but at least the weather was a lot warmer than the long cold winter they just survived thru. It wasn’t just the temperature that had changed. Where most areas were once covered in white, now green was wherever one looked. The trees had a good growth of leaves, and the bushes and flowers were sprouting up all over. Some birds and small mammals were also showing signs of a comeback. Even some larger animals could be seen occasionally.
Everyone up on the hill had gotten into their own basic routine. It was very different at each house as they all had a different method of doing things. Bryan and Kate ran a pretty tight ship compared to the others. Cameron ran the farm fairly forcefully but then he had big responsibilities taking care of the animals that the others didn’t. For things other than the farm work, he was pretty laid back but he wanted the farm work done a certain way and only that way. Cody’s method was extremely laid back which was causing him some problems. Tommy was pretty much somewhere in the middle of the others. He kept on top of what needed to be done and was able usually to just talk to the boys to get them to do what they had to do.
Over at Bryan’s house, after breakfast Kate would make all of her boys do their lessons on Al’s computers. She was fairly smart on her own and was able to help most of the boys with their lessons when needed. After the lessons, Kate would make lunch for the boys and then let them out to go play with their friends in the other houses. They would all gather back for dinner and then the older ones would head back out while she and Bryan would bathe, read to, or play games with the younger ones.
Tommy’s house wasn’t quite as structured but most of the boys did their lessons in the morning like over at Bryan and Kate’s. Unlike over at Bryan’s, the boys would sometimes skip a day only to have Tommy get on them to finish their lessons either by doing two in one day to catch up, or having them do them on the weekends. Tommy made sure everyone in his house did their lessons for the week, even if some of them had to finish up on the weekend when the others were playing.
Cody’s house was a very different story. Cody did his lessons usually, and was able to get Phil to do his too. Cody didn’t have any problems with getting Denny to do his lessons as that boy enjoyed doing them and usually did more than he had to each day. Cody’s problem children were Calvin and Jr. Neither one of them enjoyed doing the lessons. Since they had solar panels, the electricity Al gave the others didn’t make much difference to them. Cody was constantly trying to get them to do their lessons. He was so tired of getting emails from Al telling him how far behind they were. On top of that, Cody was tired of hearing from Tommy and the others about how Al was complaining that not everyone was doing their lessons. Cody was running out of options, he tried talking to them, threatening them, grounding them, yelling at them, but nothing seemed to work. Cody was beginning to think about giving them over to Tommy to deal with, or even worse Kate. He knew they wouldn’t like that, but he didn’t want to ask the others for help. They helped him out a lot most of the time with other things, like food, so he didn’t want to bother them with this.
Their gasoline run vehicles were another issue they all shared in common. They were beginning to have some issues with their cars, as the gas wasn’t as good anymore. The old gas no longer had its light hydrocarbons and it was gumming up the motors more and more. They had been using fuel additives to try to clean it up some but the older the gas was, the less combustible it was. Finding gas stations that were still working were also getting harder to find. Al had provided a small portable generator that should be able to power up the pumps at the gas stations after Tommy asked for one.
Bryan and Kate’s house…
Bryan
Bryan was busy trying to take care of Kate. Her pregnancy was causing her some issues. This meant Bryan had to take over more of the household chores and watching out for the kids. He also had to play punching bag for when Kate’s hormones got to her and caused her to go on a rant. He purposely took the brunt of her wrath when she got that way to save the kids. He thought it was kinda funny when she would blow, as he would run to where she was, focus her attention on him, and then watch as the other kids scattered. He found it funny how quickly they disappeared. He had to explain to the boys why she was doing this and that she couldn’t help it. It was just one of those things some women went through during pregnancy. He did his best to keep a buffer zone between her and Duane. He knew she was still angry with him, so he tried to keep them apart as much as possible not to aggravate her too much. He even had to come between her and Tommy once. There was an issue with Jose that Tommy didn’t seem to be taking very seriously. It was making Kate extremely mad and very difficult to live with. For a week, things had been rather tense between the two houses. With some gentle pressure and maybe a little begging, he was able to get the two of them together and talk peaceably about the problem.
Bryan was enjoying his extra time with the kids, as he read to them or played games with them. Bryan also had been sitting in the bathroom with Jose, Austin, and some of the other boys when they took a bath. He didn’t really wash the boys like Kate did, but he did play with them in the tub to make them feel good. He also started a story time for the younger boys from the other houses. Once or twice a week he would set up a time to read a book to all of the younger boys who were interested. He tried to make it as much fun as possible for them as he would do different voices for the different characters.
Bryan had started a basic grocery and scrounging run once a week. He would get together with Tommy, Cody, and Davie to drive to one of the surrounding cities to gather up more food and supplies for them. Lately, the trips had been getting a little more dangerous as Tommy hadn’t taken Hunter along with them. They hadn’t seen anyone but they had seen evidence of others around. One of the nice things about his scrounging missions was that he was able to amass a huge collection of comic books. He loved comics when he was younger and still enjoyed them. He also used them to try to get the other boys interested in reading something.
Since he was so busy looking after his pregnant wife, and doing the scrounging trips, he was able to get out of working on the farm usually. He became a backup for the farm. When someone was sick, they would call him to help out for the day. He didn’t mind it, as he liked the work. It was good exercise and helped him lose the few pounds he had gained over the winter. Another good part of helping out at the farm once in awhile was he could get away from Kate without getting in trouble. This gave him a little much needed personal time on the drive over to the farm and back.
Kate
Kate, now in the end of her second trimester, was finally showing her pregnancy, as it was now obvious she was pregnant. Kate was having some problems with her pregnancy as she was extremely sick most days. After getting sick in the morning, she was able to help make breakfast for her boys and do their lessons with them. After she made lunch for everyone, she rested a lot during the day, because of her sickness, but was still able to spend time with the boys when they needed her.
She did make time for the younger ones to play with them or bathe them. She really enjoyed her times bathing the boys. It seemed to her that she was washing at least one of them everyday and that didn’t count Austin and Jose. She sat with Jose every morning as he washed up from his nightly accidents. She used the time to talk with Jose about what he planned to do each day and how he was feeling. She also talked to him trying to help with his self-confidence. She knew he was having a huge problem with it because of his problems. She seemed to be giving Austin a bath every other day. Most of the younger boys had joined Austin in being bathed by her to get some maternal attention. Luckily for her, the tub in her bathroom was monstrous. It could easily fit both her and Bryan in it with room to spare. They used that space a number of times to have their own fun. It was so big it could easily fit four of the boys in it, and many times, it had more.
She was really beginning to worry about Jose and wanted to take him to see Al so he could be checked out. Unfortunately, no one went to see Al unless Hunter was with them, and he had been gone for a few weeks. She didn’t understand it but since she needed Al to help Jose she wasn’t about to push the issue. She knew Bryan knew something but he wouldn’t tell her. That just infuriated her, but she knew everyone had their secrets, and Bryan must have been trusted with one of Al’s. She knew it would be wrong to use here position as his wife to make him tell her so she just accepted it. She didn’t like it, but she accepted it. Because of the sensitivity of Jose’s problem, she hadn’t told anyone other than Bryan about it. They had been dealing with it on their own so far, but it was clear something was wrong and that the boy needed professional help. Since Al had medical facilities at his disposal, he was the one she turned to. She had set-up a meeting with Al just as soon as Hunter got back.
Unfortunately for Jose, it did finally get out that he wet his pants during the day and was a bedwetter. Kate did everything she could to make the boy feel better about himself, and tried talking to the other boys about not teasing him for it. She was very successful with her own boys and fairly successful with Cody’s boys but she was having some difficulties with Tommy’s boys. This caused some problems between the houses. Once Kate finished talking to her own boys about not teasing him and what she would do to any of them if they did, they no longer teased him and even stood up for him when the others would tease him about his problem. Because she and Bryan had Cody and his boys over for dinner so often, it was easier for her to talk to Cody and his boys one-on-one and get them to understand Jose’s problem and to agree not to tease him for it. She didn’t have a problem with the younger boys from Tommy’s house as she talked to them a lot when they were over or when she bathed them. She only had problems with the older boys in Tommy’s house, specifically Billy and Joey. They were being very mean to poor Jose when he was around. Eventually, she was able to have a good long talk to Tommy about it and get him to understand her point-of-view.
Kate had begun to give self-defense classes to anyone who was interested. She was a very good teacher but her pregnancy was getting to be an issue. She didn’t stop the lessons but she wasn’t able to do as much as she used to do. The younger boys were showing up more often then the older boys for her lessons. She thought this was probably because the younger kids had more free time and that they knew her better. She found it strange that Shawn was the only one of the younger boys not to take her classes. She knew he was learning something from Hunter and figured he didn’t want to confuse himself by learning more than one style of self-defense at a time.
Kate celebrated her twentieth birthday with a very special day alone with Bryan. She wasn’t sure about going out with Bryan and leaving the boys alone for the day but she finally gave in. She and Bryan went to a romantic getaway. It was very nice and she had a great time alone with him. What really touched her was that the boys had to totally clean the place up and get it running again for the two of them. The place was immaculate and extremely romantic. The hot tubs were so relaxing and there was a beautiful waterfall in the room they had. Ben had made snacks for them and a very special dinner for them to share. The memories of that night always made her smile at what the two of them did. What she treasured the most were the hand made cards the younger boys had given her.
Matt
Matt had been busy helping take care of Joel. He was having a lot of fun playing with the little boy. He didn’t mind watching Joel for Bryan and Kate so they could do something else. With Ben coming over and spending time with Joel, the two of them began to learn about one another and started to become friends.
The lessons he was taking changed from home repair to auto repair. He has been busy working on the cars and trucks to keep them working for as long as they could. He found out that he really liked working with his hands, and was very good at it. He enjoyed his new responsibilities and working with the vehicles.
He had to shower a little more often with all the work he was doing, much to Kate’s pleasure as she thought all of the boys weren’t terribly clean most of the time. He of course took his showers alone, but since he hadn’t found anyone else to play with, it was to be expected.
He was beginning to think about maybe trying something with one of the other boys as his hopes of finding a girl didn’t seem to be working out. He really hoped to find a nice girl somewhere but so far, he hadn’t had any luck. He was still spending time with Jr. and was thinking about trying to do something with him but was afraid to say anything yet. Unfortunately, he had to overcome some memories of his Uncle before he could do anything like that yet. He did have some pleasant memories of his former best friend when they were eleven and just learned about masturbation. Sadly, his friend didn’t survive the comet event.
He still enjoyed watching the little ones as they ran around after one of their baths in their towels, or in Hunter and Joel’s case nude. He didn’t touch them as he thought it would be wrong. In Joel’s case, he did touch, but he only touched as necessary to clean the boy up during a diaper change. He never went any further, no matter how hard the little boy was after getting oiled and powered. He did fantasize about it once in awhile, but knew he could never do it. It just wasn’t in him to play with the younger boys that way. He really wanted to find a girl so those thoughts would stop bugging him, as he sometimes felt guilty after having them.
Matt had gotten together with Ben to plan a very special day for Kate for her twentieth birthday. Matt had worked very hard with the other boys first to find a place that specialized in romantic getaways for couples before the comet. Then he spent a lot of time cleaning up the place and getting it ready for them. On Kate’s special day, he agreed to watch Joel and the other boys for Kate and Bryan so that they could go out together.
Mike
Mike was getting to know Ryan a lot better. They had both gotten together a few times to play on their own. Mike was still getting together with Billy and Joey at least once a week to play games late at night. He was having a lot of fun with them. He and Ryan had gotten themselves a nice little stash of booze that they used to relax themselves before they played. Billy occasionally joined them in their drinking games. Mike hadn’t gone so far as to get really drunk yet. He didn’t want to take a chance at being caught, but he was getting closer to that point. They had found a nice little house just beyond the bottom of the hill to have their drinking games and fun.
His obsession with Austin seemed to be going away. Only occasionally now did he get the urge to try to see Austin naked or trick him into something fun, at least it was his idea of fun. It was enough to see Austin run around the house in just his underwear or a towel after one of his many baths.
Todd and Ryan
The twins were having a lot of fun playing with one another and a few select others. Todd wasn’t having much success at getting together with anyone other than his brother, but Ryan was getting around enough for the both of them.
Ryan was spending a lot of time with Mike and was really getting a taste for whiskey unfortunately. Ryan wasn’t really gay but he knew from playing with his brother, that playing with someone else was a lot more fun than playing with his hand. The whiskey helped to loosen him up some so that he could get over his inhibitions. This allowed Ryan to do things that he never would have thought he could do before. When he got together with Mike and Billy at their little club and the alcohol flowed, a lot of fun things happened. They of course never left until after they were at least part way sober so that they could fake it enough until they could get into their rooms to sleep it off. He still played around with Joey at times when they all got together for a game. He was a lot more inhibited when he played the betting game with Billy and Joey since there wasn’t any alcohol to loosen him up. To Ryan, these games didn’t make him gay, they were just fun.
Todd was beginning to think his brother might be up to something with his spending so much time with Mike. He just didn’t know what they were doing. His brother hadn’t told him about the games he was playing so Todd had no real idea what was going on. If he knew what his brother was doing, he probably would have been extremely pissed. Especially after his brother had given him such a hard time when he came out to him, not to mention his brother’s growing alcohol problem. Todd had hopes of getting together again with Tommy but it hadn’t happened. He had been spending some time with Jr. The two of them were beginning to get close but so far, nothing had happened yet.
Jose
Jose was having some serious problems. His problems with accidents were happening more and more often. Kate had shortly after Valentine’s Day found out about his daytime wetting problems. He was terribly embarrassed about it but he was helping her in the kitchen when suddenly he began pissing his pants. She quickly took him to the bathroom and talked to him about it. She was very understanding about his problem and afterwards she took him to get some special underwear to use during the day to help him out. Basically, they were daytime pull-ups for older children. It wasn’t very thick but it did show if he wore tight clothes. This led Kate to take him to one of the stores and get a completely new wardrobe. With his slightly oversized pants and shirts it was extremely difficult to tell he now wore daytime diapers. Kate made sure she picked up long t-shirts to make sure that when Jose bent over his diapers didn’t show.
Jose’s secret didn’t stay a secret for too long. A few weeks later, it had come out that he wet his pants. It happened when he was over at Tommy’s and was playing with Danny, Caleb, and Calvin. He tried to get to the bathroom but the close one was occupied. He ran to try to make it to the other one but didn’t make it. He wet his pull-up so much that it leaked on him. Billy and Joey were there and saw it all. They teased him unmercifully and made him run home crying. He felt absolutely terrible that his secret was out. Kate spent the rest of the day with him trying to make him feel better after she gave him a nice relaxing bath. Many of the boys teased him because of his problem until Kate had a chance to talk to them about it. Most of them stopped after talking to her but a few kept doing it. Billy and Joey were the worse. They just knew exactly what to say to poor Jose to make him feel like he wanted the earth to open up and swallow him. Danny, Caleb, and Calvin didn’t tease him for it, which made him feel good to know he had finally found some good friends. With Kate being his protector, hardly anyone teased him anymore except at Tommy’s house. He stopped going over there for a few days because of it. It caused a problem between the two houses, but Jose was happy to see that Kate and Tommy worked it out. Now he wasn’t teased at all anymore. There were the occasional snide remark but no one went out of their way to make him feel bad about himself and the few who did make those snide remarks were then bitched at by the rest of the boys. It made him feel good to know he had such good friends and that most of the other boys would come to his aid when he needed it.
Kate had talked to him about being checked out at Al’s and after a few weeks of talking he finally decided he would go. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until Hunter had left on his latest mission and he hadn’t made it back yet. It had been a few weeks since he agreed to being checked out and now he was getting pretty anxious about it. His daytime accidents along with his nighttime accidents had caused him to bath a couple times a day. This much bathing caused a little rash to form and he was terribly embarrassed to need Kate to put the medicated cream on him but it was somewhere he couldn’t see. The cream helped and it went away after a few days but it was a few very embarrassing days. This led to his just using the wipes on himself for his daytime problems. This caused him to be terribly embarrassed about his problem and he now just hoped that Al might be able to fix him. He hoped it would be soon as Kate had told him that if he kept soaking his pull-ups so much that they leaked that she might have to get him some actual diapers. He really didn’t want that, but he knew he had a problem and if something wasn’t done soon he just might actually need them.
Austin
Austin felt as if he had finally found a new home. Kate and Bryan treated him just like their own son and with their permission he had started calling them Mom and Dad. He loved his baths. He loved how they made him feel loved again. He was playing a lot with Shawn, especially now that Hunter wasn’t around. Hunter had been missing for a few weeks now, which allowed Austin to spend a lot more time with Shawn. He had also been spending time with Chase when he came to visit.
During one of his many baths, he and Chase played a little with each other for a minute while Kate was busy with Joel. This had broken the ice between them. Austin really wanted Chase to sleep over but was afraid of Chase finding out about his Goodnights. Eventually, he did work up the courage to tell him about them only to learn Chase used them too. Austin learned that Chase had about as many accidents as he did, once every few weeks. More if something happened to scare them a lot. This made Austin feel much better about it. After that, Chase had slept over with Austin a few times and they had begun to have more fun together during the long nights they were supposed to be sleeping through. It hadn’t gone more than feeling each other up but it was a lot of fun for the two of them. For Austin, it wasn’t about him being gay or straight, as he had never given it much thought, but it was about him feeling good. He had learned that it felt good when he played like that with Chase and he liked that feeling almost as much as he liked the feeling of love he felt from Bryan and Kate.
The boys on the farm…
Cameron
Cam was very busy lately. He was busy with directing the planting of all the different fruits and vegetables on the farm. The planting took a lot of work. Luckily, he was able to get around a half dozen different people from up on the hill to help him everyday. He also found out that with all the new animals Al had given him, it was taking a lot more work to take care of them. It was more work than he and his brothers were capable of doing everyday. To help with this Tommy, Bryan, Davie, and Cody had come up with a rotation of people who would go to the farm everyday and help them out. Cam had decided that once all the planting work and irrigation was completely set up, he would then clean up the bunkhouses on the farm. He thought they would come in handy for the harvest, also if they found anyone else. He planned to do them up real nice so that should anyone need to move into them, they would be ready and as comfortable as possible.
Cam had butchered up one steer and one pig so far. He needed Hunter’s help to kill them, as he just couldn’t do it the first time. Hunter then helped him clean and butcher them up so that the meat wasn’t wasted. Cameron saw very fast just how good Hunter was with a knife and was very impressed. He had been thinking about killing one of the extra large chickens but Hunter hadn’t been around to give him instructions on the best way to do it.
Cameron had been also having a lot of fun with DJ. The two of them had been spending a lot of time together. Now that Cameron had horses, DJ was fast learning how to ride. They both really enjoyed riding the horses around the farm and surrounding area. The horses were almost as fast as the snowmobiles and a lot more fun.
Chance
Chance was very busy helping out his big brother around the farm. Most nights he didn’t go to sleep, he just collapsed in his bed. His time with Ben and Kate went to good use as he had taken over most of the cooking responsibilities at the farm. It wasn’t bad in the evening but lunch and breakfast were a big chore. He had to make enough for his brothers, and the boys who had come over to help take care of the farm that day. Chance hadn’t had much opportunity to visit the boys on the hill with everything that had been happening over on the farm. He missed his friends up on the hill and acted out a little because of it. He knew there was a lot of work on the farm and it was very important to their survival but he was still a kid and wanted to play at times. His acting out got him in trouble a couple times and he spent quite a bit of time sitting in the corner for a time-out. One time he went so far that his brother had to give him a spanking. He accepted it with good grace as it did follow the rules they had set-up many months ago. His friends did come to help out on the farm occasionally but they just didn’t have much time to play, as there was a lot of work to do. He did get the chance to visit the boys up on the hill but it wasn’t nearly as often as he would have liked. Chance knew that he would have more time once the planting was done but it was still hard on him.
Chance celebrated his thirteenth birthday relatively quietly. His brothers had forgotten it was his birthday and no one else knew about it either. He celebrated it alone in his kitchen with a left over cupcake he made that day for dinner. He was alone when he blew out the one candle he had found. He missed his parents more that day then any other. He wanted to bitch his brothers out for forgetting it but he was too sad and hurt. For about a week, the food he served his brother was almost always burned or over spiced to ruin it as his payback. It wasn’t much but it was about all he could do. The next time he went to the hill, he had a surprise. Tommy had somehow learned about his birthday and that his brothers had forgotten it, so Tommy threw a party for him. It was very nice and made him feel good again. After that, he decided not to purposely ruin his brother’s meals anymore.
Chase
Chase was spending most of his time up on the hill. He was staying at Tommy’s playing with Shawn and Chris, or staying at Bryan and Kate’s playing with Austin. Chase wanted to help his brothers with the farm but Cam had basically sent him packing to keep him out from under foot. He knew he was too small for most of the chores around the farm but he did try. He didn’t want to be handed off, but felt like he was in the way on the farm now with everyone else working there. He made the best of it by trying to have fun with the other boys. During one of his times with Austin, he took a bath with him and surreptitiously felt Austin up a little under the bubbles. This led to them playing around at night in Austin’s room. He hadn’t been able to do much with Austin as he was afraid of scaring him away, unlike with Shawn and Hunter. He had been able to get together with Shawn and Hunter twice and each time was an experience in pleasure. He didn’t know what it was, but he had never felt as good as when he had sex with them. He was able to do a lot more with Shawn and Hunter than he was able to do with Austin. Unfortunately, he hadn’t been able to get together with Shawn and Hunter due to Hunter not being around lately. He still had fun with Shawn some, but it was never as good as when Hunter was with them.
Cody and his boys…
Cody
Cody had his hands full trying to take care of his house. He was constantly having problems getting the others to do what was needed. He was making progress on the house cleaning. Cody had been able to get the others to clean up the first floor now but the second floor was usually a huge mess. Cody was happy with this small win, especially since he wasn’t winning many other battles. His battle with keeping the boys somewhat clean and presentable was not working very well. He had found out, just as most parents already knew, that many young boys didn’t think much about cleanliness until their own stench got to them. He knew most of his boys wore the same clothes for a few days at a time and showered only when they had to. He didn’t want to think about how many days some of them wore the same underwear before they finally put some clean ones on. Only Calvin didn’t have a problem with that. Cody figured that was because of all the time Calvin was spending over at Bryan’s. He knew Kate occasionally called to get permission for Calvin to take a bath with some of the other younger boys. He didn’t understand why Calvin would want that, but if that was what Calvin wanted he didn’t see why he should stop it. He would have liked to spend more time with the boy but he was so busy all the time now it seemed. He really didn’t understand what he was getting himself into when he moved into a house of his own.
Phil
Phil was working very hard to help Cody get the others to do what needed to be done, but like Cody, he found it was a lot harder than it sounded. Since no one else in the house had taken over the cooking responsibilities, he had started to do them. He didn’t make three meals a day like Kate but he did make dinner usually now. At least he made it for the boys who ate dinner at home. Probably about half the week at least half of the boys ate at either Tommy or Bryan’s house.
Phil was one of the boys from Cody’s who would go to the farm to help out. All that work was beginning to add some definite muscle to his frame making him look pretty good. He just wished there were some girls around so he could show off his four pack and growing biceps.
Denny
Denny wasn’t much of a problem as he basically did what he needed to do. He did his part to help clean the first floor and never caused a problem with his lessons. He enjoyed learning new things even if he was teased because of it sometimes. The one issue he had was that he wasn’t the cleanest kid in the world. Actually, he was pretty much on the other end of the clean scale. He would shower occasionally but nowhere near as much as he should have.
He was still spending a lot of his spare time with Zach and the two of them were beginning to become close friends. He was also spending time with Jordy and Jeremy as they could usually be found with Zach. Once the snow went away the four of them got Cody and Tommy to go looking for some ATV’s. All four of them would spend hours playing around on the mountain. They didn’t go too far from the houses, as Zach didn’t feel safe getting too far away for some reason. Denny didn’t understand why but since Zach was his friend, he went along with it. They also played a lot of foosball together.
Junior
As one of Cody’s problem children, he was doing his best to live up to the title. He always had to be told, if not forced, to clean up after himself. He refused to do his lessons most days. He didn’t seem to have the time for them. Jr. could usually be found playing in the game room much of the time. His new passion was pinball. Where Phil was the pool shark, he was the pinball wizard. He was so good that when he played against the others he usually had to triple or quadruple their score to win.
If Jr. wasn’t playing pinball then he could usually be found with one of his friends. He was occasionally helping Matt to take care of the vehicles at times. When he wasn’t with Matt, he could be found with Billy and Joey. He enjoyed the games with Billy, Joey, Ryan, and Mike. More and more often, he was with Todd. He wanted to have a more meaningful relationship with Todd but was too afraid to say anything to him. No one had told him that Todd was gay or what happened shortly after Todd had moved in. If he did, then he might not be so worried about making a move.
Calvin
As the youngest in Cody’s house, he was able to get away with a bit more than the others were. He, like Jr., wasn’t big on doing his daily lessons and would usually only do them when forced. It did get Cody to spend time with him that way but it wasn’t what he hoped for. Having Cody upset with him wasn’t what he really wanted, but it did get some attention from him. Calvin wasn’t sure exactly what to do. He wanted attention from Cody but not the type of attention he was getting. Some attention, even if it was bad, was better than no attention.
The only good attention he was getting was from Kate. He finally got the courage to say yes to one of her baths and found it very enjoyable. Because he was still a bit embarrassed to get a bath at his age, he asked her to give him one alone. Kate happily agreed and once the younger boys were done, she popped him into the bath on his own. Calvin really liked that, as he would sometimes help her with the younger boys during their bath. For his bath, she was always very nice to him and talked to him. He was a little embarrassed to be naked in front of her, especially now that he had a little hair growing around his dick. He didn’t have much hair but he was proud that he was finally showing signs of growing up. When he took his baths, he would usually try to hide as much as he could but there was no way to hide it all the time. He liked the feeling of being loved and that someone thought he was special and Kate always made him feel that way. She of course didn’t wash him except his back and sometimes his hair. He truly enjoyed that special attention she would give him. He missed it and found he would do anything to get it back. He wanted attention, he craved it, and if he couldn’t get it from Cody, he would find it with someone else. Because of the attention he got from Kate, he was willing to do more for her. Therefore, when she asked him to do his lessons or mentioned he should wear clean clothes and shower regularly, he did it. He was much better at the cleanliness part than the lessons but he did put more effort when Kate asked him then when Cody yelled at him.
Being the youngest got him out of working on the farm, which gave him more time to play. Unfortunately, it also got him more cleaning chores around the house to make up for not helping on the farm. He wasn’t the best cleaner, but he did his job. It wasn’t usually as good as Cody or Phil wanted, but he thought it was good enough. They could complain all they wanted, if they didn’t like it then they could do it themselves was Calvin’s opinion.
Calvin had a very fun thirteenth birthday. What made it so special was that Cody spent most of the day with him. They celebrated it over at Kate’s house as she decorated the house up for him. She also made him his favorite cake, an angel food cake. Kate had a party for him and they all had a very fun time, but Calvin liked it best that Cody stayed and played with him. He appreciated all the effort Kate went into making him feel so good and loved.
Davie and Duane…
Davie was fast becoming a valued member of their little society. Davie was finishing his Chemistry major with Al’s help. He wasn’t too sure how much good it would do them but he was making a lot of progress. Originally, he had a hard time since he couldn’t do any labs but then Tommy stopped by with a delivery from Al for him. He brought that strange little kid Hunter along to help set everything up. The addition of a real lab and the right equipment to use helped him a great deal.
Early every third morning, Davie would go over and pick up Matt, Mike, Ryan, and Todd to drive them all over to the farm. He had made sure that he was the one to drive his brothers to the farm and work with them. This gave him a little more time to see them without Duane bothering them. He knew they didn’t like Duane and wanted to have some good quality time with them. He was working pretty hard at the farm with all the work that needed to be done there for the planting season. They would usually be done by early afternoon, so it still gave them time to do other things that they might have wanted to do.
Davie was busy with other things too. He was also helping Brian with his scrounging missions. On top of that, he tried to spend more time with his brothers other than working on the farm. In between all that, he was cleaning up and taking care of his own house. It wasn’t very big as it was just the two of them, but he was doing the vast majority of the work. Davie was working very hard during the day and played hard with Duane at night. As long as Duane made him happy at night, he didn’t mind the extra work, and Duane always made him happy at night.
As valued as Davie was, Duane was becoming a burden. Duane wasn’t doing much to help out their little community. He refused to help with the farm work. He refused to help with the scrounging work. He refused to help look after the little ones to let some of the others go out to help with the work. He refused to help out the others when they had problems. He teased many of the younger kids whenever they were around. He talked bad about some of the kids as if he knew exactly what to do to straighten them out. About the only productive thing he was doing, was his lessons. He was finishing his electrical degree just as Davie was finishing his degree. His only saving grace was Davie, who he made sure to keep happy every night.
The pyros…
Willie celebrated his birthday on Friday the 13th, a very prophetic day. It started out very nice as Sammy woke him up with a blowjob and then had wonderful sex with him afterwards. Even Jimmy went out of his way and made breakfast for him. Unfortunately it didn’t last. Later that day the boss man arrived. After talking to Valen for a few hours, Willie’s life took a huge turn for the worse. His new life was a nightmare come true. He longed for the time when it was just Jimmy and Valen fucking his ass. The boss man was turning him into something weird and that new kid he brought with him scared Willie more than anything, even more than the boss man did. He wasn’t a boy anymore, just a convenient hole for the others to use and abuse when the boss man wasn’t doing strange and painful things to him. He didn’t know how much longer he could take it, he felt as if his mind was going to break along with the rest of his body. Since he was now always locked up, he couldn’t even run away.
Sammy wasn’t doing much better then Willie. She had been turned into an unwilling sex toy for the others. They would use one of her three holes whenever they felt like it and hit her a lot, especially if she didn’t do her best to make them feel good. She felt so sorry for what the others were doing to Willie but found out that she would be beaten extremely bad if she even mentioned his name anymore. Jimmy was scared. Now that the boss man was here, things were getting strange. He learned very quickly not to rock the boat around the boss man and to do everything he was told as soon as he was told. He didn’t want to end up like Sammy and Willie. Obeying the boss man did have its perks. He could screw Sammy almost whenever he wanted and as hard as he wanted. He could punish her for whatever in any way he wanted as long as he didn’t kill her. He could do the same to Willie also. This allowed him to pay them back for any perceived slight they ever gave him. After a while, he got to enjoy it and would do it to both of them just because he could. He especially liked it when he took the dogs with him. The new kid scared him a lot and he really didn’t want to be on the wrong side of him anymore than he wanted to be on the wrong side of the boss man. He might have been the low man on the totem pole but it was a lot better then being Willie or Sammy.
Valen was an abusive asshole but he was learning a lot from his mentor. After telling him how much trouble Willie was, he was amazed at the boss man’s answer to the problem. He never would have thought of the disgusting things that would happen to and was so excited to do it. When Sammy stood up to them, it blew his mind at how quickly the boss had taken charge of her and came up with her punishment and new lifestyle. He just hoped that eventually he would be as good as his mentor. Valen might have been the second in charge, but even he wasn’t stupid enough to boss around the new kid. There was something strange, something dark with that kid and even Valen could see that. Valen was busy setting his boss’s plans into motion and they were almost ready only a few more days until the real fun would start.
Tommy and his family…
DJ
DJ was very busy over at Cameron’s farm. He was spending most of his week at the farm, helping Cam with whatever needed to be done. He not only drove the boys from his house over to the farm on their day but he also drove Cody and his boys over there on their day. DJ was helping out Cameron two out of every three days. From all his time working with Cam on the farm, he was beginning to be a rather good horseback rider. From doing all the work at the farm, he was also learning a lot about how to run a farm. DJ was now the unofficial second-in-command on the farm now.
His and Cam’s relationship was continuing to grow. They had only one problem, and that was anal sex. Neither one wanted to be on the receiving end. DJ because of what Robert did to him, and Cameron because of how big DJ was. DJ did have a rather embarrassing talk with Tommy about that problem. Within the last week, he was able to get enough courage to talk to Cam about it. Because of that talk, DJ talked Cam into using a butt plug to stretch him out a little first. That way they would be ready when they actually did do it so he won’t be as hurt. DJ hoped they would do it soon. He really wanted to do it, but at the same time didn’t want to hurt Cameron. Ben
Ben was continuing to do the cooking for everyone in Tommy’s house. Because of his responsibilities for feeding the house, he was able to get out of working at the farm. He usually made at least two meals a day now. Only dinner was for everyone usually. The other meal he would make would only be for the boys who were around at the time. Being somewhat experienced now, he knew to make extra for others who would show up unexpectedly. For dessert, he had found a new helper. Luke had begun to help him and Chance to make dessert occasionally. He was pretty happy with this as it gave him more time to spend with his friend Luke.
While the kitchen had been recognized as his domain before now, as Tommy gave out new responsibilities, it was official. He had been put in charge of the kitchen and everything that went with it. He did the cooking and had two helpers on a rotating basis to clean up afterwards. He also began to keep tabs on how much food they had remaining and how fast they were using it up. This allowed him to make good lists for Tommy when he went out on his scrounging trips with Bryan. It also helped him to know what to ask Al for on his supply runs.
In between his cooking and related work, he did manage to find some time to play. He had been going fishing about once a week. He usually went with Hunter but sometimes he would take someone else along. Lately, since Hunter wasn’t around he was going with Luke and Kyle. Without Hunter, he wasn’t able to catch enough fish for everyone on the hill but he almost always caught something. His friendship with Luke was strengthened with the fishing trips and he was beginning to become friendlier with Kyle. Since Hunter wasn’t with them, he and Kyle always brought their guns along. They didn’t see a need for them but brought them just in case. Luckily, they hadn’t needed them, as everything around the hill had been pretty quiet.
Ben was also spending time over at Bryan and Kate’s house. He was being the good uncle for his little nephew. He would look after Joel to give them some private time or just let them relax a little. Matt also helped a lot with Joel, and Ben was becoming much friendlier with him than before. They spent a lot of time together talking about things as they kept an eye on Joel. Ben had always found it difficult to make friends, but was happy to learn that it was pretty easy to make friends with Matt. He enjoyed his new friendship with Matt and looked forward to the times they spent together talking or playing some game.
He and Matt had gotten together to plan a very nice birthday for his sister-in-law as she was so important to so many of the boys. He helped a great deal with getting the place ready for them and then cooking for them so that all they had to do was enjoy each other’s company. He had to tell his brother about it, as they needed his help to power up the place and get the water running there again. It took them two weeks to do everything. The hardest part was keeping it a secret from Kate. Ben had to have a number of talks with the younger boys about keeping it a secret so as not to ruin the surprise for them. He was surprised himself that no one spilled the beans on the surprise gift to Kate. He did all this work not only for Kate though. He also did it as a present for his brother. It made him feel good to know his gift not only made Kate happy but also Bryan.
Jeremy
Jeremy was still trying to get together with Jordan. They were still not as close as he would have liked but they were slowly moving closer together. They had done the feeling each other up and jerked each other off thing, but they couldn’t get much farther than that. They did one time get together at Jeremy’s house to suck each other off. They went to Jeremy’s house to get some privacy, as it always seemed that they were interrupted otherwise. Jeremy sucked Jordan off but when it was Jordan’s turn to return the favor he froze. Jordan had a flashback to Robert and just fell to the ground and curled up into a ball and cried for hours. Jeremy was frantic, he tried to comfort Jordan but nothing he did helped. He didn’t know what to do, so he eventually called Tommy for help. Between the two of them, they were able to calm Jordan down. The two of them dressed him and then brought him home.
Jeremy had been afraid to ask Jordy to do it again, because of what happened the first time. He wanted to suck Jordy off again but was scared that Jordy would want to return the favor. He liked Jordan too much to take a chance of it happening again. Jeremy had begun to talk to Jordan more about what happened to them. He hoped it would help Jordan to deal with what Robert did to him better. It seemed to help Jordy, and it was certainly helping Jeremy deal with what Robert did to him. Jeremy had even begun to talk to Tommy about what Robert did to him. He didn’t even lie this time about what he had to live through. It helped to be able to talk to Tommy about what he went through as Tommy never judged him or said anything negative about him. Tommy just listened and did what he could to help Jeremy. Jeremy was careful only to talk about what he went through. He never talked about anything he learned from the others.
Jeremy and Jordan had tried to talk to Zach about what he went through but he wouldn’t really talk to them about it. They did get Zach to talk a little but so far, it wasn’t too much other than what they went through. Jeremy knew Zach had to go through something far worse, as it was obvious he was holding back. He knew his and Jordy’s talks helped them and hoped they might help Zach. If he couldn’t open up and talk about it, he didn’t see how to help Zach.
Not everything was about dealing with the trauma he went through when he was kidnapped by Robert. He was able to get Tommy to take care of his blue balls a couple times. The first time he tried Tommy refused and had a long talk with him. Tommy talked about how he didn’t owe him sex for the things he did and that he was so very sorry if that was why Jeremy had played around with him before. Jeremy explained that he did feel that way sometimes but the first time it was only about his wanting to have a good experience with sex rather than what he went through with Robert. He also admitted to Tommy that he was so forceful that first time because he wanted to have a feeling of control, since he hadn’t had that before. Jeremy went on to say, that occasionally when Tommy had called him over he felt like he did owe it to him and that was why he offered or did something with him. Now was different though, he wanted to fool around with Tommy not because he owed it to him but because he wanted to and knew it would be a lot of fun for them. Because of that, Tommy did jerk him off or suck him but he wouldn’t let Jeremy do much to him. It confused Jeremy a little, but as long as his blue balls were taken care of, that was what was most important to him.
Jordan
Jordan has been rather worried lately. He was very worried about his brother who still basically refused to talk about what happened to him. Now he was also worried about himself. A few days after Valentine’s Day, when he and Jeremy snuck over to Jeremy’s house to play was a big cause for concern to him. He freaked out when it was his turn to suck Jeremy off. He didn’t understand it but something triggered a bad memory of Robert that day. He collapsed and cried like a baby. It took Tommy’s comforting presence to calm him down finally. He was very embarrassed over that and had begun to have regular talks with Tommy and Jeremy about what he went through. They seemed to help him out but he was still afraid to go any further with Jeremy, other then jerking each other off. The talks were very embarrassing but strangely, they did help. He learned more about what Jeremy went through and was getting closer to Tommy.
He still wanted to do something with Tommy and offered but Tommy refused. After the first time offering Tommy sex, Tommy had a long talk with him. It wasn’t a bad talk, but it was somewhat confusing to him. Tommy explained to him that Jordan didn’t owe him anything for all the stuff he had done. What that really meant was that he didn’t owe Tommy sex. Jordan didn’t really think he did to begin with, which made Tommy feel better for some reason. He did feel that he owed Tommy a debt he could never repay but he hadn’t really thought about paying it off with sex. It just had never occurred to him, but once mentioned, it sounded like a good idea. Because of the talk Tommy had with him about it, he decided not to do it though.
Jordan was one of the boys who went to work on the farm every few days. The work was very demanding on him and he really didn’t enjoy it too much. He didn’t complain very much because he knew how important the farm was to them. He did bitch about it some with his friends when they were alone but that was about it. He really hated doing the farm work in the rain. Unfortunately, the work needed to be done each day, rain or shine. The first big rain he had to work in gave him a cold. It got him out of work for a couple days. The cold made him feel terrible. Because of his being sick, he was stuck in bed for most of it. That did give him more time to spend and talk to his brother though. Zach was doing most of the work taking care of him, which allowed them to bond more. He had felt that he was losing his brother but his sickness brought them closer again. He didn’t like being sick but this time he was happy that he did get sick, as he was worried about Zach.
One of the high points in Jordan’s time was that he celebrated his fourteenth birthday with his brother Zach. They both had a good time for their party as Ben and Kate made a special cake for each of them. Kate made his cake and made a baseball motif on it because it was one of his favorite games before the comet. She made his favorite cake, a confetti cake with strawberry filling between the layers with a very good frosting. Many of the other boys also gave him a present or card. Overall, it was a great day for him, but what really made it good was that it made his brother happy.
Zach
Zach was still having problems. He didn’t want to go to sleep alone anymore, as he was too afraid of his nightmares. He had begun to ask his brother to let him sleep with him as it helped a little. Most nights he would crawl into Jordy’s bed and eventually fall asleep while his brother held him. Jordan had made a trip over to their house and found Zach’s old teddy bear. Now Zach usually slept with it too. He would hold the bear as his brother held him. This way he could get some sleep. He was still waking up every morning wet and ashamed. He would also wake up most nights softly crying as his brother tried to comfort him. He felt like such a baby needing to wear the diapers, needing his Teddy, and needing to sleep in the same bed as his brother.
He had to have another embarrassing conversation with Tommy about his special needs. Because he was now sleeping with his brother, Tommy got him some extra thick nighttime diapers, just in case he wet more than usual. That way he didn’t wet his brother’s bed. He was very ashamed to need them but after one night where he did wet too much for the diaper to hold, he used them from then on. It had been years since they had slept together on a regular basis, and then it was always Jordy who wanted to sleep with Zach. Now it was the other way around. This bothered Zach a lot. He didn’t like to feel afraid and weak but he did. He felt that way almost all the time now. It was getting to him during the days now too.
He had tried to talk to his brother about what he was going through, but so far, he couldn’t really say much about the really bad things Robert did to him. He sat through the talks with Jeremy and Jordan when they ganged up on him to try to get him to talk. It was a bit of an eye opener for him when Jeremy told him what he had to live through, but he didn’t think it wasn’t anything compared to what Robert did to him. To get them to stop bugging him all the time, he gave in and talked a little about what happened to him but never anything about the bad stuff. Tommy had begun coming to him also to try to talk to him about what happened. With Tommy, it was different though. He didn’t push Zach to talk. He didn’t even start out by asking him what Robert did to him. Tommy just sat with him and talked about his day. He would ask Zach what his plans were but rarely asked him about what was bothering him. This broke the ice a little and Zach opened up some. He shared some of his nightmares with Tommy, when the only other person he had ever told them to was his brother.
There was one bright spot in his life. It was when he was able to look after his brother when he got sick. Jordan was pretty sick for a few days and Zach got to feel a little like his old self by looking out for his brother. He did get help from Tommy and Ben but he was the one who did most things for Jordy.
Another nice thing was his growing friendship with Denny. He was pretty sure Denny was straight and wouldn’t be a threat to him, as he sometimes felt the others who were gay were. He knew that he wasn’t really in danger from the gay boys. He also knew that they would never hurt him, or force themselves on him. He knew this intellectually but his emotions didn’t always agree. Because of what Robert did to him, he wasn’t always comfortable around them. His brother and Jeremy were the exceptions due to them telling him what Robert did to them. Tommy was another one who Zach felt safe around. He didn’t really understand it as he used to hate Tommy but now he sorta liked him. That didn’t stop him from being a pain in Tommy’s ass but at least he was more willing to apologize now.
Zack had a very nice birthday with his brother. Ben had made his favorite cake for him. It was a delicious Black Forest cake. He really enjoyed his birthday as everyone went out of their way to make him and his brother feel good. It was a good day for him, a happy day. It had been a while since he had one of those. It made him feel so good when everyone in their little community went out of their way to make him feel so good. When he blew out the candles, he wished his fourteenth birthday would make things better in his life.
Billy
Billy got in big trouble again. He still had scars from when he was burned. He had heard that Hunter was able to remove Shawn and Tommy’s scars, so he talked Hunter into doing the same for him. He didn’t really talk Hunter into it. He forced Hunter into doing it. He got Hunter to follow him so that he was away from all the others and then talked to him about doing it. When that didn’t work, he threatened Hunter so that he did do it. That got him into big trouble with Tommy. It didn’t exactly endear him to Shawn, Jon, or Kyle, either for that matter. It was his threatening Hunter, that got Hunter to do it and what got him in the most trouble. His scars did go away within a matter of moments but Tommy heard Hunter’s cry and came to investigate. Originally, Tommy didn’t give him a choice in punishments. Tommy was going to spank him. He then talked to Tommy about options instead of a spanking. Therefore, Tommy agreed to either spank him or ground him. Tommy told him he was going to be grounded for two weeks if he took that option. He seriously thought about being grounded, until he found out he would be grounded to the farm so he could work over there. That got him to ask for another spanking. Billy hated long punishments, which was why he asked for the spanking as it was over fairly quickly. He had to wait a day for his spanking because Tommy was too upset to do it then. Tommy offered to ask DJ if he would spank him that day if he wanted, but Billy really didn’t want someone else spanking him. Since Tommy had already done it once, he was a little less embarrassed to have Tommy do it again compared to DJ who had never seen him even partly naked. It was embarrassing but Tommy did it in private at least. It hurt a lot, but not as much as last time. Tommy apologized to him a few times, again confusing him a bit. He did get in trouble and he figured he did deserve it. Tommy’s behavior confused him because his parents had never apologized to him after they had to punish him. He knew what he was doing was wrong when he did it. He also knew, just like most of the other kids, that if he pushed Hunter, then Hunter would cave and do what he wanted. He figured it would get him in trouble, but his scars were really bugging him. He knew summer was coming and he didn’t want to wear a lot of clothes again to cover them up. In the end, he thought that the spanking wasn’t too much to pay for getting rid of his scars.
On the plus side, his and Joey’s relationship continued to grow. He didn’t love Joey like Joey sometimes seemed to love him. He did love the things he could get Joey to do though. Not to mention the things Joey would do to him or more precisely let him do to him. He found that he no longer needed to win enough bets to have some anal fun with Joey. All he had to do was ask now and Joey would agree. He loved it. He didn’t even have to let Joey do him. He was of course careful not to hurt Joey, but sometimes he just couldn’t help himself. He would lose control and slam himself into Joey. Joey didn’t seem to mind and actually said he liked it better that way. Billy was more than happy to oblige.
It wasn’t a totally one sided relationship though. Billy did whatever Joey wanted when he won the bets. Since Joey hadn’t won over one hundred bets at one time, he wouldn’t give up his ass yet but he did agree once Joey won enough he would give it up just as Joey had for him. He still made Joey dress up as a girl usually, but when Joey won the bets for that day, he went a different way. Billy never complained about how he was made to dress, no matter how strange he thought it was.
His relationship with Mike and Ryan was also deepening, not always in a good way. He was drinking more often with them in one of the small houses at the bottom of the hill. He enjoyed their games, as he usually didn’t drink as much as the others did. This way he could get them to do more stuff that he wanted to do. Ryan was beginning to be a concern to Billy. It was that he was drinking a lot more now than he used to. Billy wasn’t too concerned about Ryan’s health but he was concerned that Ryan might be caught and rat the others out. He did like, that with Ryan drinking more, he was able to get him to do more and more interesting things. Some of them Ryan didn’t even remember. He and Mike had poured the boy to bed late at night a few times. Occasionally all three of them would sleep in the drinking house and tell Tommy and Bryan that they were sleeping over at the others house. So far, they hadn’t been caught… yet.
He was still playing the betting games with Joey, Mike, Ryan, and Jr. at least once a week. He had a lot of fun there making the others do things to each other and watching them. He especially liked watching Joey do things to the others. In an attempt not to be caught, they had moved those games to the greenhouse. It was right next door so it was close and usually deserted late at night. Billy had talked Tommy into telling him the security code so they could get back into their own house once the games were over. The others always stayed the night at Tommy’s when they played their games, as it was too late to go home by then.
Joey
Joey was having a lot of fun playing around with Billy. He was slowly falling in love with him. Because of his feelings, he didn’t see how Billy used him sometimes. He continued to wear the butt-plug for Billy so he could be ready pretty much at a moments notice. This way Billy didn’t have to stretch him out very much. If Billy gave him time, he would give himself an enema first to try to make it better for them. He didn’t even mind dressing up for Billy anymore or letting him take pictures of him dressed up as a girl. He was actually beginning to enjoy that, which confused him at times. He also enjoyed watching the films Billy made of when they had sex together. Sometimes as Joey would lie on the bed, Billy would set up three cameras to try to capture as much as he could. Billy would then piece them together and show Joey the finished film. Each one was getting better as Billy learned more and Joey loved all of them.
Everything wasn’t great for Joey as he wasn’t always happy with all their games. He didn’t like doing stuff with the others all that much anymore. He really wanted just to do them with Billy, but since Billy liked it when he did them with the others, he did them for Billy.
Joey was happy that Billy continued to pay off his debts in whatever way Joey wanted. He thought that making Billy dress up as a girl was fun but since Billy did that to him first, he didn’t want to copy Billy too much. He wanted to do something original and eventually he found something. Usually, he would make Billy dress up as some animal. It took him a long time and a lot of searching but he found some cat’s ears, dog’s ears, and bunny ears for Billy. He also found some fancy collars. Joey found some animal mittens and shoes for Billy to wear also. He even found some strange tails for Billy. He now had a cat/dog tail and a bunny tail for Billy to use. They were strange as they had this long string of beads that would go up Billy’s butt to hold them in place. Billy wasn’t always too pleased to wear them but since Joey was wearing a butt-plug most of the time for Billy, Joey figured it was only right that Billy do it for him. One of the fun things about the cat’s tail was that it had a remote that would vibrate inside Billy whenever Joey wanted. Joey liked using that on Billy, as it would make Billy make some very funny faces.
Joey was also working on the farm occasionally along with the other older boys. He liked the animals and occasionally was able to ride the horses. He wasn’t a good rider yet but he was learning. He knew how to take care of them after they were done riding them, as Cam made sure anyone who rode the horses could do that first. Because there was usually so much work to do on the farm, he didn’t have as much time as he would have liked to ride.
Caleb
Caleb wasn’t the tidiness kid around, nor was he the cleanest. Tommy usually had to talk to him about once a week to clean up his room and to shower a couple times a weeks usually. He did them because he was afraid of getting another spanking. He really didn’t like the spanking Tommy gave him earlier. He did like that Tommy apologized to him for having to do it. Once Tommy explained why he thought he had to do it, Caleb had to agree that he did deserve it. He might not have liked it, but he had to admit, he earned it. He now just hoped that he wouldn’t get in trouble again and get another spanking. That was why he always cleaned up his room or took a shower when Tommy asked him too. He just wouldn’t do it on his own without Tommy having to talk to him about it first.
Because he was one of the younger kids, he didn’t have to go work on the farm. He did get more chores to do around the house though, just as the other younger kids did. He might not have done as good of a job on them as he could have, but he did at least do the minimum required to stay out of trouble. He cleaned up his room and washed himself to the same standard, which was why he sometimes had to do it again once he had Tommy check to see if his room or body was clean enough.
He was still spending a lot of time with Danny and Chris. They were playing a lot of games together. Danny even trusted him enough to look after Chris on his own. It made Caleb kinda proud that his friend trusted him enough to look after his brother when he was busy with some work or something. Danny didn’t seem to trust anyone else to look after his brother, with the exception of Kate. He was also playing with Chance when he was able to get away from the farm. He and Danny occasionally were able to go over to the farm to help Chance with his chores so they would have some time to play together.
Caleb had made a new friend in Jose. They hadn’t been close at the mall but now they were spending more time with each other. Caleb felt sad for Jose because of his problems. He would stick up for his friend when some of the other boys would tease him. Caleb never made fun of Jose because of his problems. It was only a little over a year ago that Caleb had stopped wetting his bed, so he had some idea on how Jose might have felt. Caleb had a lot of fun playing with Jose, Danny, and Chance.
Caleb did get up the courage finally to talk to Tommy about his problems. He initially talked about his nightmares but after awhile he felt more comfortable talking to Tommy that he opened up about other things. He recently talked to Tommy about what happened to him at the mall. It was difficult to relive that but sharing it with Shawn helped, so he hoped sharing it with Tommy would also. He was right it did help some, not enough to stop the nightmares but some. Within the last few days, he had begun to talk to Tommy about his problem with sex. He hadn’t made much progress with that yet but he was hopeful. Because he told Tommy about his nightmares, he had been allowed to sleep with Tommy when he had them. He didn’t have them very often but more frequently then he wanted. He found comfort in sleeping with Tommy. Even if he had to share the bed with Shawn, Jon, or Hunter, it was comforting to him to sleep with Tommy.
He knew of Tommy’s history of having sex with most of the boys at one time or another, which put him off going to Tommy initially. After talking to him a few times, he felt safe now. Tommy always told him no one was allowed to touch him in anyway sexual unless he was okay with it. He even stressed that meant him too. Tommy never even tried to touch him in anyway that was inappropriate. He didn’t even look at him that way, not even when he was wearing a towel to be checked out if he was clean enough after showering. Tommy even told him that he would do everything he could to make sure no one ever touched him again, unless he wanted them too. This made Caleb feel safe finally. It didn’t stop his problems but it helped him deal with them.
Danny
Danny was usually busy looking after Chris. He did now trust Caleb and Kate to look after him at times. This gave him some much needed personal time. It also allowed him to have some time alone with Caleb. By leaving Chris with Kate, it allowed him to go with Caleb to the farm so they could spend some time with Chance. It wasn’t that he didn’t see Chance up on the hill anymore, but Chance didn’t have the opportunity to visit as often as he used to. Danny was finding a good friend in Caleb and Chance.
Danny was also finding a good friend in Jose. He and Caleb would play with Jose usually when he dropped off his brother for Kate to look after. All three of them would have a fun time playing games or playing outside alone or with the other boys. He stood up for his new friend when it came out that he had a problem with accidents. He was just grateful that he never had that problem and that his brother didn’t either. He didn’t let Jose’s problem get in the way of their friendship or their having a good time together.
Danny no longer put Chris in the harness unless they went somewhere. On the infrequent fishing or shopping trips that Tommy took most of the boys on, he put Chris into a teddy bear backpack harness. Otherwise, Danny didn’t make Chris wear it. He knew his brother hated it but it made him feel better to know exactly where his brother was when they were out.
He really worried about his brother. He tried his best to look after him so that no one else had too. He made sure he was bathed at least twice a week, had clean clothes, ate three good meals a day, went to bed at a reasonable hour, did his lessons, helped him with whatever was needed, read a story to him most nights before bed, brushed his teeth, watched over him when he played with his friends Austin, Chance, Shawn, & Hunter, and punished him the few times it was needed. All this work looking after his brother didn’t exactly give him much time for his own friends or to do what he might have liked to do. For a twelve year old, he was doing a marvelous job at taking care of his brother. For the times when it would all get to be too much, he would think back to the night when he found his brother and that alone would get him past it. He was very grateful to Kate, as she would look after his brother, when Chris wanted to play with Austin, which gave him some alone time or time with his friends.
He no longer went to Tommy for help with his problems. He saw how busy Tommy had become dealing with the other boys’ problems so he didn’t want to burden him. He now went to Kate. She was always very understanding of whatever problem he had at the time.
Because of how nice Kate was, he thought about asking if he and Chris could move in with them, but he knew they didn’t have a spare room. Another reason he wanted to move was that he didn’t totally trust Billy and Joey anymore. He wanted to get Chris away from them if he could. He hadn’t told anyone about this yet but he had thought about talking to Tommy a little first to see what he thought.
Chris
Chris was going nuts. His brother was constantly hanging over his shoulder watching him. This left him very little time to play with himself and no time to play that way with anyone else. Many of the things his brother did made him feel good but he missed playing with his dick or better yet, letting someone else play with it. His brother had told him he could do that as long as it was with someone younger than Danny was. He had thought about just asking Austin or Chase if they wanted to do something like what he did with Billy and Joey, but so far, he hadn’t worked up the courage. He also didn’t see when they might have the time, as either, Danny, Caleb, or Kate was watching him most of the time. He also thought about talking to Shawn and Hunter about that, but he had the same problems, plus Hunter hadn’t been around in awhile.
He wondered where Hunter could possibly have gone. He knew he left for a day or so occasionally but he had been gone for a couple weeks now. He had asked a couple of the older kids where Hunter was, but all of them said he just went out and he would be back soon. He really liked when Shawn or Hunter played with him. Especially when Hunter would play with him, as Hunter seemed to be more willing to do whatever Chris wanted to do.
Chris, like Austin, had learned that Kate gave great baths. He really loved how she made him feel. His brother had let her give him a bath a number of times now and he really liked it when he could bathe with Austin and the other boys. His brother also bathed him sometimes. Occasionally, Chris was able to talk Danny into taking one with him. He had a lot of fun with those as he played with his toys with his brother. Nothing sexual happened in his baths with Danny, but he felt closer to his brother when he had them.
Luke
Luke was feeling pretty happy lately. His relationship with Kyle was continuing to grow and his friendship with Ben was strengthening. He had been worried there for a little while when he felt that he was drifting away from Ben. His fishing trips with Ben and Kyle, along with some baking lessons, and just hanging around him again had done a lot to not only stop that trend but to reverse it.
He and Kyle had played their S&M games usually at least once a week. Since Hunter hadn’t returned from his time with Al, they had been able to play in the sex room in the tunnel. Luke really enjoyed their games in the tunnel, as there were so many new and interesting toys to play with in there. They spent a lot of time cleaning everything up there and fixing the restraints. When they were done, everything was nice and polished. It looked almost like a new room. It was no longer a dark, scary room. It was now a clean, well-lit S&M playroom, and they enjoyed their play in it.
He was another of the lucky boys who got to get out of working over at the farm. He got out of it because he was working at the greenhouse and he had planted a good-sized garden. Because of all the work needed to take care of the greenhouse and the garden, he was able to get a helper. It was no surprise when he picked Kyle to help him out with all his work. An unfortunate side effect from working with the plants was that he and Kyle got stuck taking care of the yard at both the greenhouse and Tommy’s house. This kept them rather busy during the day between cutting the lawn, trimming the bushes and trees, picking up any yard waste, and taking care of the greenhouse and garden.
He didn’t think his grounding was that bad and it was over fairly soon. The hardest part of his punishment was waiting for Kyle’s to end. He almost jeopardized his new freedom by trying to sneak into Kyle’s room at night to have a little fun. He didn’t make it in there as Hunter was always sitting by the front door looking outside for some reason. He couldn’t exactly sneak in with Hunter sitting right there, so he just acted as if he was getting something. He didn’t really think he fooled Hunter, but it made him feel less guilty about trying to break the rules. After the third night of sneaking downstairs only to find Hunter there, he had to ask why Hunter was always there. Hunter told him that Tommy had asked him to tell him if anyone tried to break Kyle’s grounding. Hunter didn’t want the Luke-sir to get in trouble, as it upset the Sir when he punished the boys. Hunter didn’t want the Sir to get upset, so he told Luke that whenever he was going to try to sneak into Kyle’s room he would be sitting by the door to try to keep him out of trouble. Luke didn’t know how Hunter could possibly know when he was going to try to sneak downstairs to see Kyle but since he was there three nights in a row, he decided to stop and just wait until Kyle got out on his own.
Luke had a wonderful fourteenth birthday party with everyone up on the hill. They all had a party. There were games, dancing, and plenty of good food. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves. Luke got a number of cards and presents from everyone and felt so good that the others would go out of their way for him. The best present was what Kyle had gotten him later that night.
Kyle
Kyle was having some issues. His almost total refusal to talk to his brother had widened the rift between them. It had gotten to the point that he didn’t know what to do to fix it. Unfortunately, most times he didn’t want to fix it. He was still angry with his brother for punishing him. No one had said anything about what he was punished for, but a number of them had asked what he and Luke did. Due to Luke’s insistence, he was being civil to his brother but not much more than that. He wasn’t sure exactly how, but he had maintained his second in charge position. He had thought that his failing relation with Tommy would get him bumped from that position of authority. It didn’t.
Kyle’s relationship with Luke was doing well. He enjoyed their games together. They were spending a lot of time together taking care of the greenhouse, garden, and the yard. Weeding was not his favorite thing but since he did it with Luke, it was tolerable. Kyle was learning a lot from working with Luke on how to take care of plants. Not to mention the other lessons they did together.
Kyle was learning quite a bit recently. He had begun to give lessons to everyone on the hill about how to shoot. This caused him some problems, as he had never taught anyone anything before. He started with the basics and stressed gun safety. It was working out but it wasn’t easy for him. Two days a week, he gave lessons on how to handle a gun and three lessons each of those days. These lessons had helped a number of the boys as they now knew how to handle a gun and were getting to be much better shots under his leadership.
He had also started to take the classes Kate gave to learn some self-defense. As one of the boys who didn’t have to go to the farm to work, he had more time to go to Kate’s for lessons. He had learned a lot from Kate, but with everything else he was doing, he just didn’t have as much time to practice those lessons, as he wanted.
Shawn
Lately, Shawn had been depressed. He missed Hunter. His friend hadn’t been around in weeks and all he could get out of Tommy was that Hunter was busy but safe. He worried constantly about what Hunter was doing or if he really was safe. Hunter had never been gone for so long. Shawn felt as if a part of him was missing without Hunter around. It had gotten so bad that now whenever Shawn slept alone he would hold onto Lion, so he could at least smell Hunter a little. He missed his friend so much that his heart and soul ached. He didn’t know what to do and his talks with Tommy helped some, but not enough.
Before Hunter had left, Shawn talked to Hunter again about having sex with Jon. Shawn found that he would get jealous of Hunter when he did things with anyone else. Shawn soon learned that as long as he was with him, he didn’t get jealous. It seemed that he was fine with Hunter having sex with others as long as he could be a part of it. He wasn’t sure why, but he just didn’t like it when Hunter had sex with anyone else when he wasn’t with him. His jealousy was a bit of a problem but would always go away shortly after spending a few minutes with Hunter. He didn’t understand why it would go away so easily when sometimes it seemed to be so strong.
Without Hunter around, Shawn had more time to spend with Tommy, Kyle, and others. His relationship with Tommy had improved some and they had gotten together a number of times. Tommy even took him out for the day so the two of them could be alone. Shawn liked that as it made him feel very special, but he still missed his Hunter. A few of the times he got together with Tommy, they had fun as they used to. He enjoyed those times with Tommy, but now it seemed that something was missing. He wasn’t sure exactly what it was that was missing, but it wasn’t as good as he remembered. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy his alone time with Tommy but without Hunter around to share it with, everything seemed to be subdued a little. He was happy that he was able to sleep more with Tommy but even those times weren’t as much fun as they used to be.
He also spent more time with Kyle. That meant he was also spending time with Luke. He liked playing with them or helping them with their gardening chores or other yard work. He tried to talk to Kyle about his problem with Tommy but didn’t get anywhere. If he pushed it, Kyle would get upset with him. He had learned to just leave it alone and hope they would work it out on their own soon.
Shawn also spent time with his new friend Austin. Together along with Danny, Chris, and Caleb they would have a lot of fun playing outside. Their favorite spot to play recently was over by the creek that ran down the hill. They had a lot of fun playing in and around it with their laser tag toys, or playing ‘hide and seek’ there. Usually they would be rather muddy when they finished. When they got to Kate’s for lunch she would pop Shawn along with Austin and Chris, and Hunter when he was around after calling Tommy for permission, in the tub to clean up some. Danny and Caleb usually either took a shower over at Kate’s or went home for one. Shawn thought it strange that he didn’t have a problem getting naked for a bath at Kate’s with the other boys but having Hunter naked when no one else was did bother him.
Before Hunter had left, they had gotten together with Tommy and Jon. They all had a good time but it was a little difficult to start. Shawn and Jon were a little self-conscious in the beginning, but once things got going, they all had fun. Shawn had a real good time sucking Tommy off as Hunter sucked him and Jon jerked Hunter off. They spent the entire night together and switched positions throughout the night. Tommy and Jon even did a little anal while Shawn and Hunter took turns sucking Jon off. Hunter even rimmed Shawn while Tommy was sucking him off and Jon was jerking Hunter off. Shawn now understood what Hunter meant when he said they wouldn’t let him do some things with them. Tommy and Jon refused to let Hunter do too much with them other than caressing, kissing, and very little sucking no matter how much he begged. Shawn didn’t have that problem, but thought it strange that Hunter did. He had a lot of fun that night but they hadn’t been able to get together to do it again.
He and Hunter had also gotten together with Chase. The three of them had a lot of fun as they could do things with one another that they couldn’t with Tommy and Jon. Once Hunter had left, Shawn still got together with Chase a couple of times but while they were fun, they weren’t as good as when Hunter was with them. He didn’t just have sex with Chase. He did play games with him a lot too, especially since Chase was spending so much time over at Tommy’s house.
Shawn wasn’t just playing around or just having sex with someone. He also did his lessons everyday and his chores. He had been assigned to be a member of the clean-up crew. Tommy had made a new chore system because of the bigger boys having to go over to the farm to help. Shawn and the other younger boys were put into the clean-up crew. It was their job to do basic cleaning of the entire house after they finished their lessons. Then each day they would be assigned to do a through cleaning of a room or two. This way most rooms were completely cleaned at least once a week, and some twice. He had learned how to mop and scrub floors, vacuum, wash walls, dust, and wipe everything down so that the rooms looked pretty clean once they were done with them. In the beginning, it was easy, as Hunter would zoom around the room cleaning as he went. It only took a few minutes for Hunter to clean a room completely. Without Hunter to help Shawn and the others, it took them a lot longer. They still had time to play afterwards, but just not nearly as much anymore.
Since Hunter hadn’t been around to teach him, Shawn took Kyle’s gun lessons. He was learning how to handle one fairly safely. He had only gotten the chance to shoot twice so far, as usually the bigger boys shot while the smaller ones watched. He liked the small .22 pistol Kyle was using for the smaller boys to learn how to shoot. It was annoying that only Kyle or Luke could load the guns and even then, they only loaded one bullet at a time. Kyle had said it was for safety reasons. Once Kyle was satisfied everyone could be trusted they would start to load a whole magazine at a time.
Shawn had thought about taking Kate’s self-defense classes but once Hunter saw what they were doing, he actually pulled Shawn away. He said he didn’t want Shawn to be contaminated by her teachings. He continued to take self-defense lessons from Hunter when he was around. He learned the proper way to breathe and some very basic moves so far. He was amazed at how just learning to breathe made such a difference to how he did things. He now had a lot more energy to do things and wasn’t as exhausted as he used to be after doing something physically demanding. He continued to practice even though Hunter was gone. His newfound knowledge on how to defend himself had helped him a lot with his fears and self-confidence. He thought that was why he no longer had any nightmares.
Hunter
Hunter was not a happy camper. His nightmares had gotten worse. He spent many a night up crying in Tommy’s arms. He just didn’t understand what was happening to him. Before the comet, he had total control of himself and now he seemed to be falling apart every other minute. Tommy and Al had explained to him, that this was probably due to his mind finally dealing with his past. He thought if this were how his mind was dealing with it, then he would rather go back to how he used to be. The only thing in his life before the comet that he had complete control of was his body and his emotions, and now that was gone. His emotions seemed totally out of his control now. He hated the uncontrollable crying at night, and absolutely dreaded his dreams. He didn’t like not being in control of himself, and that loss of control terrified him. His constant fear had grown to absolute terror whenever he was alone. This caused him to stay as close to Tommy or Shawn as he possibly could. He tried to be ‘normal’ and play like the other boys. He was successful in that most days but come night, he just didn’t have the strength left to fight off his fear. This led to his finding Tommy at night and crawling into his lap to cry. Even his naps were harder to take. He still took his naps with Shawn, but usually he would wake up with his face wet from his eyes crying in his sleep. He didn’t cry out during his naps but he did let go of a lot of tears. Poor Lion was being squeezed to a pulp from how tight Hunter held him when he did sleep. He only slept for a few hours each night and then only because Tommy told him he needed to sleep. Shawn was there to help him during the bad times, and he did help some. It just wasn’t enough. Jon tried to help too and did whatever he could to comfort Hunter. The only thing that really helped was being held in Tommy’s arms, as he rocked him back and forth, and said comforting things to him. Even then, he would still cry for hours but he would at least feel better doing it.
When he was trying to be ‘normal’, he did usually have a good time. He continued to have fun with Tommy and Jon even if they wouldn’t let him do too much. He really enjoyed it the one time Shawn joined them. He had a lot of fun then and enjoyed every minute of it. He also enjoyed when Chase would join him and Shawn. Shawn and Chase never told him he couldn’t do something fun with them. He even introduced Chase to the fun of rimming, one of Shawn’s personal favorites. Hunter found it strange that Shawn would fuck him and Chase, but wouldn’t let Chase fuck him. Chase had asked if he could try it on Hunter but Shawn always shook his head no, which stopped Hunter from saying yes. He had pleasant memories of when Shawn had him and Chase kneel down and put their butts in the air. Then Shawn would screw one of them for a minute and switch, or when Chase would lie on top of him and Shawn would just adjust his aim as to whom he entered. Hunter thought that was a lot of fun, and smiled whenever he thought of it. Being in such close physical contact, not to mention not wearing any of his dreaded clothes, to Shawn and Sir made him feel safer. Because of the memories of those good times together, he was a little better able to deal with his fear.
Lately, Hunter wasn’t up on the hill. He had been sent on a mission from Al. This mission was taking a very long time. Hunter understood the importance of the mission but didn’t like being away from his kind Master and good friend Shawn for so long. He had been running around the world disarming nuclear weapons before anyone else could get to them. If someone had gotten to them first, then he would have to sneak into the facility and disarm them there. He was very good at this but most of the nuclear weapons were under some of the best security available before the comet. Because of that better security, it took him a lot more effort than he wanted to spend. He hadn’t slept for over three weeks now, the entire time he had been on this mission. It was getting to the point where he was making mistakes, and then someone would pay for them. So far, he hadn’t had to kill that many people, but there were quite a few people he knocked out or disabled in order to fulfill his mission objectives. He usually only killed the people who attacked him first. Otherwise, he just snuck up on them and knocked them out. His latest job had been the worst. There were a number of nuclear weapons inside the closed facility that he had to get to and he was tired and angry. He didn’t want to spend the time sneaking in so he decided to try something else. He just attacked the place, knocking out everyone and then tying them all up. Those that tried to hide, he just smashed the doors to get to them and put them with the rest. With the stealth suit on and his moving so fast, no one ever got a good look at him. He was just a blur that came out of nowhere and knocked them out usually. After that, he used the special spray Al had given him that would combine with the nuclear material and render it useless. Once his job was done, he made sure to leave them a means of getting untied once he left. He knew he needed to get some rest soon as he was actually hit three times from assaulting the facility. The three who actually hit him he killed before he could think. Actually he didn’t just kill them, he tore them apart before he could stop himself. The others he didn’t want to bother with so he just knocked them out. It annoyed him that he was hit, it annoyed him even more what he did to those people without even thinking about it. He had been shot many times before but to be hit three times in just one small assault showed him he really needed to rest. He didn’t like killing people but if they attacked him first then he was okay with it. He always tried to kill them as fast and as painless for them as he could but this time he just tore them to bits and it worried him. He was just so afraid of trying to sleep without Tommy to help him that he decided to keep putting it off and that lack of sleep was having an effect on him. In a compromise with himself, he decided to meditate for an hour to get a little rest. Happily, after his meditation Al gave him the recall order instead of the next target. He knew there were more targets after the last one, so he didn’t understand why he would be called away. He was just happy he was. Now he could see his Master and Shawn again. With everything that still needed to be done, he knew it was only a matter of time before Al called him back, and that time would probably come soon.
While he was out on his mission, he bugged Al about what the others were doing. Because of this, Al did allow him to see some footage of the boys on the hill occasionally. It showed Hunter that everything was fine there and that they were all safe. He was worried about them, he just didn’t know why. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something bad was coming but he couldn’t figure out what it could possibly be. Before he left on his mission, and when he was still sleeping, his nightmares were more and more about something terrible happening to the boys on the hill. The worst were when he dreamed something bad happening to his Master or Shawn. He didn’t understand his dreams anymore, not that they really made much sense to him to begin with, but now they had changed confusing him more. Sometimes he would be reliving some terrible experience from his past and then it would shift to something that he had never seen before. There was a new dark figure in his dreams. That stranger was hurting the people he cared about and he couldn’t do anything to stop him. It was if Hunter was frozen in his nightmares, and all he could do was watch as the other boys were tortured or killed in different ways. It was this new figure that made Hunter stop sleeping. There was something familiar about the dark figure but he couldn’t figure out what it was. Whenever he saw the figure in his dreams, he would feel a terrible hatred emanating from the stranger towards him, and a sickening sense of dread.
Jon
Jon was very happy. He was given more responsibility around the house and he was able to be with Tommy much more often. He had noticed a marked change in Tommy over the last two months. Tommy was no longer the sex-whore he had been. Jon was so happy for this. He knew Tommy sometimes had a setback but then he would watch him try even harder not to do that again. Jon knew Tommy was still having sex with Shawn and Hunter but he figured they were okay. Most of the time Tommy had sex with Hunter he was with them and all three of them would have a very good time. Jon now knew what Tommy meant about having sex with Hunter as he too had experienced it occasionally. He didn’t know what it was about Hunter, but sometimes it was just absolutely amazing the feelings he would get when he did things with Tommy and Hunter. He knew that Shawn and Hunter were special to Tommy, but in a different way than he was to Tommy. Jon thought that the two of them would be the last ones Tommy would give up, once he had changed enough and was ready to commit himself totally to Jon. Jon hoped that day might be soon but realistically he knew it would probably be years away. He loved Tommy so much that he was willing to wait for as long as it took, just as long as Tommy kept trying.
Jon did enjoy the time Shawn and Hunter joined Tommy and him for a night of sex. He was very self-conscious in the beginning, but since he had already been doing things with Tommy and Hunter, adding Shawn didn’t make it that bad for him. Once he relaxed, he really enjoyed himself. He hoped they could do it again, as he knew Tommy wasn’t ready to give up the two young boys yet. He thought if Tommy was going to have sex with them, he might as well join in. He had fun the last time they all got together and was looking forward to seeing Shawn and Hunter again. Both of them were very cute and Jon saw what Tommy saw in them beyond just pleasure. He thought that if he had to share Tommy, sharing him with Shawn and Hunter wouldn’t be that bad.
Jon’s major new responsibility was due to the restructuring of how the chores would be done around the house. He was now in charge of the cleaning-crew. Basically, the cleaning-crew consisted of the younger boys who didn’t help out on the farm. It was his job to make sure that the first floor and bathrooms were clean. He also had to check his crew’s rooms to make sure they were somewhat clean. In addition to all that, it was his responsibility to make sure his crew had more than enough cleaning supplies. He was supposed to tell Tommy whenever they were getting low on something. This way they wouldn’t run out of anything, as Tommy would get more for them.
He gathered his crew early each morning to tell them what was needed and what he expected. He then sent them off to do their lessons for the day. After their lessons, he would gather them together again and pass out each boy’s assignment. Once they thought they were done, he would go double check their work to make sure it was done the right way. He almost always found something they missed, politely pointed it out, and then asked them to fix it. Once it was fixed to his satisfaction, he would either give them another job or let them go play for the day.
While his crew was busy cleaning, he did the laundry. After a few lessons from Tommy and Kate, he now knew how to do the laundry without turning the clothes different colors. He was not exactly thrilled with this portion of his job, especially having to wash some of the boys’ dirty underwear. This did give him ammo to use against the boys should they ever annoy him too much. He didn’t have to use it though, as he was usually well liked around the house and the others did what he asked without too much fuss. Each boy in the house was responsible to bring their own clothes down to the laundry area and place them in their own box. Then once there was enough in a box, Jon would wash a load. This way he kept each person’s clothes separate. Occasionally he would miss something and someone would get the wrong clothes, but usually he was pretty good. When the clothes were clean and nicely folded, Jon put them in the boy’s clean clothes box and left them for the boys to pick up their own.
Jon was one of the boys who had to go help out on the farm. He went and did what was needed of him and then usually rested the rest of the day. It was hard work taking care of the farm and he knew now why Cameron needed help. On the days he would be at the farm, Tommy would take over the clean-up crew, and assign them their jobs that Jon told him needed to be done that day.
One part of Jon’s life that could use a little improvement was his sleeping arrangements. He now slept with Tommy every other night. About half the time he slept with Tommy, Hunter was there with them. The other half it was just the two of them to begin with. Unfortunately, due to Hunter’s problems he would usually knock on their door, trailing Lion behind him, and sleep with them because of his nightmares. Many times, Shawn would join them in trying to calm Hunter down. Occasionally, Caleb would ask to sleep with them as he also had a nightmare. Jon understood about the other kids’ problems, but it did get annoying at times. With someone else sleeping with them, it made it hard for Jon and Tommy to have some personal fun together. Occasionally, Hunter would join them for that but usually he spent the night crying in Tommy’s arms, which killed any chance of them getting together at night. Once Hunter had left for his mission, things got better. Hunter was no longer getting in the way of Jon and Tommy, and their nighttime fun. One of the boys did sporadically disturb them for some problem or other, but it was infrequent now that Hunter was gone. He would have liked to sleep with Tommy more often but he knew he had to share with Shawn.
Tommy
Tommy was usually exhausted. He was busy every day with some problem or other it seemed. Between dealing with the problems the other boys had and his own issues, Tommy just felt mentally rung-out. There just didn’t seem to be enough of him to go around to everyone who needed him. He kept trying though. Tommy spent most of his day usually dealing with the problems of the house, the boys problems, the problems his own behavior had caused, trying to think of appropriate punishments for anyone who had earned one, problems with the other houses, and then of course, there was the problem of his brother.
After all the problems Tommy was having with making sure the chores were done in the house, he decided that something had to be done. He, Jon, Kyle, Ben, and DJ had gotten together one night and decided to reorganize the house. They picked various areas to be in charge of around the house. Ben was in charge of the kitchen, Jon the cleanup of the house, and DJ organizing the farm labor from the hill. Kyle was placed in charge of making sure the boys did their lessons for Al, and gave lessons on gun safety and marksmanship to everyone in their little community. Tommy was overall head and any problems they had would be taken to him. Tommy thought this was best as he could talk to the problem kids about what the problem was, and deal with it in his own way. This gave a more uniformed code of punishment as he was the only one who decided when someone got a punishment. The others did help met out the punishment that Tommy decided was appropriate for whatever they did though.
Tommy was also very busy talking to some of the boys. When Hunter was around, he would try to have daily talks with him. He thought it was helping Hunter deal with his problems. Unfortunately, Hunter had to go on a long mission for Al. He was gone for a few weeks. Tommy was very concerned that the progress he had made with Hunter might be lost from his being gone for so long. Hunter always regressed a little after a mission for Al and those were usually only a day or two long. With being gone for this long Tommy was worried how far Hunter would regress once he got back. Hunter wasn’t the only one Tommy was having talks with. He also had been talking to the twins and Jeremy usually at least once every other day. He had learned from his lessons from Al that he shouldn’t push these things and let them talk about what they were comfortable with sharing. He did prompt them a little once in a while but usually he just listened to them as they talked about what Robert did to them and how it makes them feel. It worked out pretty well as he thought the three of them were making progress with dealing with what happened to them.
Because of all the things he was learning from the three boys, he needed to keep it separate and ensure he didn’t share any of their experiences with anyone else. Tommy had to make up a journal for each of them with notes about them, so he could keep everything straight and not accidentally break one of their trusts. He had Hunter bring down the chest that had the safe in it before he left, so that Tommy could lock them away to keep anyone else from reading about it. He worked very hard at not sharing what the three boys went through, even with Jon or the other two boys. He knew they were sharing things on their own, but he wanted to make sure they knew they could trust him not to say anything they shared with him in confidence with anyone. He didn’t want to be the one who might be responsible for any of the other boys learning the terrible things the three of them had to live through for a couple months before he saved them.
Tommy tried to have a talk with everyone in his house at least once a week. Most of them wouldn’t really talk to him much about their problems but he kept telling them that he was there for anything they might need him for. All they had to do was ask and he would make sure he was available for them.
Tommy also spent a lot of time having talks with every boy who he had sex with since the comet. It was very difficult for him but he felt that he needed to talk to them about whether they felt like they owed him sex. He was heartbroken when most of them said they did feel like they needed to repay him for everything he did. He talked to them for a long time to try to make sure they knew they didn’t owe him sex for anything. He surprised the boys by apologizing to each of them for making them feel that they owed him sex a number of times. Tommy spent many hours crying into Jon’s shoulder as he told him how the boys felt and how it made him feel during his nightly talks with Jon. He even talked to Ben about how he was perceived in the house. Ben explained to him that he was occasionally the one being used by the others. He told Tommy that he had heard a number of the other boys brag about ‘having’ Tommy and how many times they had done things. Tommy felt a little strange about hearing that some of the boys had used him for sex, but it kinda made him feel dirty. It was better then them thinking they had to have sex with him but not much.
Tommy also agonized over punishing the boys. Thankfully, he didn’t have to do it very often but he didn’t like it when he did. He tried to apologize to the boys after he punished them a few times and explain why he felt like they needed to be punished for whatever they did. He tried very hard to make the boys understand what they did was wrong and that he was sorry for having to punish them. He wasn’t always sure they understood but he kept at it.
He had to follow through on his punishment to his brother unfortunately. He didn’t want to but with how Kyle was behaving, he couldn’t think of a way out of it. His relationship with Kyle continued to fall apart. He tried many times to talk to his brother to figure out what was wrong but Kyle wouldn’t really talk to him anymore. Kyle was civil to him and talked to him about the house. He talked about what was going on, but he wouldn’t talk about anything else. It was clear to Tommy that Kyle was still extremely pissed off at him for something or other. Unfortunately, Tommy couldn’t get Kyle to talk about it so he could try to fix it.
Tommy did have a problem with Kate. Once it was known that Jose wet his pants, a number of his boys made a lot of fun of him. He didn’t think too much of it initially as he thought if the others made fun of him it might encourage Jose to not wet himself. It was only after he noticed that no one from Bryan and Kate’s had come over for a few days that he asked what was going on. Shawn told him that they weren’t allowed over anymore, since some of the boys over here were making fun of Jose. It initially pissed Tommy off that they were doing that. He thought about telling his boys they weren’t allowed over there, but he thought that would be stupid. It went on for a few more days until Bryan and Jon talked him into having a talk with Kate about it. She started out by asking Tommy if it would be all right for the boys to make fun of Hunter because he cried so easily and was so afraid. Tommy of course said that wouldn’t be okay and that he would have a huge problem with that. She then asked him why it would be okay for his boys to make fun of Jose for a problem he couldn’t control, when it wouldn’t be okay for her boys to make fun of Hunter for a problem he couldn’t control. That got to him. Tommy didn’t think the teasing was that bad, but after hearing some of the things Jose had to live through because he wouldn’t do anything about it, he understood. Tommy felt pretty guilty because he didn’t take this problem seriously and because of that, it hurt Jose so much, not to mention caused a big problem between the houses. Kate made clear that she had talked to her boys about teasing Hunter after hearing some of them make some poorly chosen comments. After that, they all knew not to say anything about Hunter’s problems. She then explained to him that Jose didn’t wet his pants because he wanted to, but because he didn’t have a choice. She told him that she thought something was wrong with Jose’s body, which was causing this. She then said she had talked to Al and set up a medical exam for the boy once Hunter got back. He finally saw her point, and from then on made a definite effort to make sure no one in his house teased Jose about his accidents. He threatened the same punishment Kate did, either get kicked out or be forced to wear and use the same special underwear Jose had to in order for them to understand what it might be like for Jose. Tommy didn’t really think he would enforce that punishment but the threat alone seemed to work. Before he had that particular talk with the other boys, he had a private chat with Jordan, Zach, and Jeremy about that threat and that he would never do that to them. He did this because of some of the things they had said Robert did to them. Zach didn’t mention this particular abuse but he thought best to be safe and tell him too.
What with his ongoing problem with Kyle, his dealing with the other boys’ problems, the problem of Duane, and the problems with the others who lived in their little community, Tommy was having a hard time dealing with all of it at times. He had wanted to run to his truck and drive off so many times just to get away from it all, but he didn’t. He couldn’t do that anymore because the others depended on him. He felt that many of them trusted in him and depended on him to be strong for them when they weren’t strong enough on their own. To leave like that would betray their trust in him and he couldn’t do that anymore. He loved all his boys, not the same way for each one of course but he nonetheless loved each and every one of them. He had seen how his earlier behavior had hurt so many of them, especially Jon. He didn’t want to be like that anymore, so whenever he got upset or felt like everything would be too much for him to deal with, he would sit down and recite each of their names silently to himself. He would say their names over and over again until he had a good memory of each of them. This calmed him and reminded him just how much they needed him to be better and how much it meant to him to be better. This helped him keep it together and not blow up until he could have his nightly talk with Jon. Jon was his saving grace as he would unload his problems to Jon and then feel much better and more able to deal with them. Jon was his rock, and never made fun of him should he breakdown and cry because of everything he was feeling and dealing with. He found it easier to deal with everyone’s problems the more he did it, as long as he had Jon to talk with at night. Tommy didn’t even talk with Jon about the private things the other boys shared with him, but he found that as long as he could talk to Jon about the other things he could deal with it. Something else that Tommy learned that helped him deal with everything was that Hunter wasn’t there for the last few weeks. He wasn’t happy with himself for learning that but he understood. Hunter’s problems were worse than everyone else’s combined usually. They just sucked so much out of him that he didn’t always have enough left over for the others. He wasn’t happy about this because he really missed his Angel, almost as much as Shawn did.
Not everything was bad for Tommy though. He was still having a lot of fun with Jon. The time Shawn came to him and asked if all four of them could get together for some fun startled him, but he thought he might as well ask Jon. It turned out to be an awesome experience, but he did have to limit Hunter on what he would do. When Hunter was around, he still did things with his Angel but he just wouldn’t let Hunter do much to him. Once Hunter was gone, he found that he had a lot more time and took Shawn out a few times alone so they could have a good time.
He still had his stumbles occasionally with some of the other boys, but only after making sure that the boy he was with knew that they didn’t have to do it with him. He felt guilty about them afterwards but just couldn’t always help himself. They weren’t happening as often though, which made Tommy hopeful that he could change for Jon.
He did follow up on his promise to take the boys fishing. It was a lot of fun for everyone, as they spent the day by the river. Everyone on the hill went with them, even annoying Duane. Kate, Ben, and Chance went to a lot of work to make a big picnic lunch for everyone. They even brought enough food so that they could have a cookout by the river for dinner. Not many of the boys actually caught any fish but they all had fun trying. They even made a little competition out of it to see who could catch the most fish. Tommy thought it awfully strange that Shawn would catch a fish a few minutes after someone else did just to keep his total in the lead. It was a good day for everyone, as they played volleyball, badminton, soccer, or catch. Tommy was a bit saddened to see that Hunter wasn’t allowed to play with the others in their games because he was so good. It did cheer him up to watch Hunter play in the water away from where the others were fishing. His heart ached to see when Shawn played with Hunter. They looked so happy playing with each other and he felt like an outsider. He was coming to better terms with himself over his perceived loss of Shawn to Hunter. Watching everyone play, made him think that once it got warmer that he should maybe try to get some teams together to play basketball, baseball, or football. They had enough people, if enough were interested.
Tommy tried to do something with his boys at least once a week other than going to one of the other houses for their game night. He would take them out to the mall or sometimes fishing. He even would take most of the younger boys to play in one of the larger playgrounds that were in town. Many of the older boys went with and played there too. Tommy had fun playing with the kids in the playground also as he enjoyed making the boys smile and laugh. With the warmer weather, the indoor pool began to get a lot more use too.
Tommy had been getting a little lax in his security lately, as nothing had happened in a long time. There hadn’t even been another fire and he hoped that the people who had been setting them had left the town to live somewhere else. The only times there was any concern were when he went out on the scourging trips with Bryan. Even then, they never saw anyone else.
